Sheffield’s Peace Gardens represented via one if its water features on a stylish, modern interpretation of a Destination Poster, exclusive to The Sheffield Guide.
Situated besides Sheffield’s Town Hall, the Peace Gardens is a large public plaza. The area was remodelled in 1997 across the site of the former St. Paul’s Church Graveyard when the adjacent old ‘egg box’ town hall extension was demolished. One of the main features of the plaza is a floor-level fountain and a series of cascading water features pointing to it. The water cascades represent Sheffield’s connection to the steel industry whilst the channels leading across the sections of the area represent the rivers that powered industry during the city’s formative years.
The Peace Gardens were officially named in its former guise in 1985 during a memorial event to the Hiroshima disaster. A number of memorials are situated around the Peace Gardens including ones to the Spanish Civil War and the Korean War, as well as public works such as the Bochum Bell (donated by German twin city Bochum) and a collection of standard measurements.
Our Sheffield Destination Posters collection feature stylised images of key landmarks around the city. A modern, minimalistic interpretation of destination posters of the past, featuring a stylish subtle coloured filter and film grain-effect on the main image that contrasts beautifully with the sharp edges and panel colour of the SHEFFIELD lettering.

Any purchase you make goes towards supporting The Sheffield Guide, local content creators, artists and businesses.
Every item is made-to-order, especially for your purchase! Where possible we support the local economy by sourcing our products and services within the Sheffield city region. Additionally, we prioritise independent businesses that use ethical practices and materials where possible. Where it is has not been possible to source to our high standards within the city region, we utilise businesses as close as possible.
Thank you for your support.

Sustainable Plastic-Free Packaging
Orders are shipped in 100% plastic-free packaging (with the exception of Framed Prints, which utilises biodegradable bubble wrap).
The packaging used for an order varies depending on the products being shipped, but the information below will give an idea of the packaging you can expect an order to ship in.
Paper mailing bags
Most orders up to a certain size will ship in either a small, medium or large paper mailers.
Clothing items such as t-shirts and hoodies are folded neatly into these bags; to save on packing materials and reduce waste we do not pack items into individual bags before they are shipped in these mailers.
Our paper postal mailing bags are manufactured from responsible, sustainable sources to comply with FSC certification. The paper is both compostable and degradable, and paper mailers can be easily recycled, making this an extremely eco-friendly option. The weather-proof parcel protects its contents during transit.
Cardboard boxes are used for orders too bulky for our large paper mailers. They work in just the same way though; clothing items are folded neatly into them, and any products requiring special packaging (such as mugs) which are shipping with clothing items are packed in their own packaging first before shipping in a box.
Each mug ships in a mug box.
11oz white and two-toned mugs ship in our bespoke single, 2x, 4x or 6x boxes. These are designed specifically for protecting mugs during transit.
Other mugs including enamel and travel mugs ship in thinner cardboard boxes. These boxes aren’t weather-resistant so they’re shipped wrapped securely in our bespoke paper mailing bags.
They’re a triangular tube of weather-proof reinforced cardboard. This shape allows for easier transportation and label application so it’s very practical!
All posters ship in these tubes but for the A4 bamboo prints, which ship in reinforced envelopes.
