Sheffield’s O’Hara’s Spiced Rum issue a special bottle of their signature blend with proceeds to go towards local palliative care charity.

Special O’Hara’s Spiced Rum Bottle for St. Luke’s Sheffield Hospice

Independent rum makers O’Hara’s have issued a special bottle in support of local St Luke’s Sheffield Hospice charity.

The bottles have been uniquely branded with a takeover label featuring exclusive art from popular city artist Bubba 2000.

£10 from every bottle sold will be donated to the charity.

When the pandemic hit, our first thoughts as a small business were how do we survive through the struggles of lockdown. We knew we needed to think outside of the box for a unique idea, so we thought of releasing a limited-edition bottle.

“We reached out to our friend BUBBA 2000 for a piece of artwork that would excite people to want to purchase not only the rum, but a limited-edition piece of art from a local artist.

“We also knew other businesses and charities were struggling through the lockdown, so we thought if we could charge a little more for the limited-edition bottle, this could be a great opportunity to get a charity involved and to help as many people as we can.

“We are a small Sheffield brand, so we wanted to help a local charity. Cancer has in one way or another effected most people, and palliative care for Cancer sufferers is so important.”Andy O’Hara, Founder of O’Hara’s Spiced Rum

Additionally, O’Hara’s have collaborated with a number of local bars and stockists to make limited edition bottles to promote the venues.

Special edition bottles can be bought featuring Bamboo Door, Decks, The London Cocktail Club and more.

Each has been labelled with artwork from the featured venue, with a minimum of £5 per bottle going to the bar.

“Throughout the pandemic, it’s been a challenge for all. More so now we’re seeing our friends in hospitality struggling to make ends meet.

“That’s why we’ve teamed up with some of our favourite cocktail bars across the country to release their own limited edition O’Hara’s Spiced Rum bar lockdown bottles. With a minimum of £5 per bottle going directly back to the bar, we hope this will help generate some much-needed cash in order to keep their lights on.”Andy O’Hara, Founder of O’Hara’s Spiced Rum

A further bottle features a special label for The Parrot Club — O’Hara’s own Kelham Island-based Cocktail Bar.
